About Me My name is Muphy Mustapha. I'm a Malaysian who went to school in Europe for many years in the early 1970s. Whilst there, my siblings and I, together with my parents spoke no other language but English. Thus, I picked up English effortlessly because I acquired the language rather than having to learn it. Since then till now, I consider English to be my first language, then comes Bahasa Melayu. I have 20 over years of varied experience in businesses, sales and management, and results oriented professional together with a strong command of the English language. |
I have an Internet English Level Test Score of C2, Advanced / Mastery Level within the CEFR, equivalent to the CPE Level of Cambridge English.
I have had the pleasure of tutoring many individuals, which includes Primary and Secondary students, working adults, as well as Korean young adults on a one-to-one or small group sessions. As such, this has given me the opportunity to work with people from a variety of academic backgrounds and I consider my ability to adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of different students to be one of my biggest strengths.
I focus a lot on the speaking and listening aspect of the language, as these are the areas that most students that I have come across with have difficulty in. I also try to make each lesson as dynamic and interactive as possible so that students enjoy the lessons and are as engaged as possible.
In 2010 and 2011, I had organised and conducted a Speak English Programme and Primary 1-6 English Tuition classes at the Kota Damansara Mosque. Past students have come from SK TTDI (2), SK SEKSYEN 6, 7 & 11 KOTA DAMANSARA, INTEGRATED ISLAMIC SCHOOL KOTA DAMANSARA AND SK TAMAN MEGAH In today’s world, the importance of the English Language is undeniable. It has influenced all spheres of life from politics to media, information and communications to education and research. Globalisation has also resulted in English becoming the de facto medium of instruction in business dealings as well as in educational institutions internationally. Due to this trend, English as a Second Language (ESL) is very much in demand. Thus, I have embarked on a quest to enable students (school-going and adults) - to acquire the full range of abilities to use English effectively via the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing by acquiring the various University of Cambridge Certificates. It is worth mentioning that these certificates have lifetime validity, and that a steady progression through the exam levels indicates clearly that a student has acquired the necessary skills to use English proficiently in challenging academic or professional situations. |  |

To ensure that students stand the best chance of success, I always advice that tuition begins as early as possible within the academic year. Last minute tuition lessons cannot make a substantial change to how well a student does.
